The Club was first registered with the Kennel Club in 1922, although it is interesting to note that the cover of the 1953 handbook states that the Club was founded in 1891.

 

To this day we own several magnificent silver trophies dated in the late 1800's. 

 

The St. Bernard Club and The Northern St. Bernard Club were disbanded during the first world war. The English St. Bernard Club and The St. Bernard Club of Scotland were the first breed clubs formed thereafter.

We hold a number of events annually including a Championship Show and an Open Show.  We also have the annual St Bernard of the Year (SBOTY) Competition which is held in conjunction with with the annual members awards and trophy presentations with Dinner and Dance.  Educational events and seminars and fun events are also held from time to time.

Everyone is welcome at ESBC events.  New membership applications are always appreciated.  Membership affords the benefit of an electronic club magazine twice a year as well as discounts on show entries and for SBOTY.
